Frequently Asked Questions
Our verifiers are incredibly knowledgeable soil health experts. Your verification visit represents an excellent learning opportunity that many of our customers take advantage of. The verifier will need to conduct a brief overview of your operation with you at the start of the visit. You are not required to accompany them in the field, but you are welcome to join for as much of the visit as you’d like.
Regenified uses a combination of in-field evaluations, including the Single Ring Infiltrometer, Line Point Intercept, Soil Odor Score, Penetrometer or Shovel Test, and Livestock Body Condition Scoring. Lab soil testing includes the Haney Test, PLFA Test, Total Carbon w/ Bulk Density Test, Aggregate Stability, and Water Holding Capacity.
We schedule annual reverification visits to collect in-field data and soil samples for lab testing. On rare occasions, we may arrange a follow-on visit if circumstances require us to return to capture a key datapoint.
Several factors influence timing and completion of the verification process, including your location, your growing season, the number of fields being verified, and receipt of your completed prerequisite information prior to scheduling. On field verification visits range from 1 day to a week and sometimes longer, depending on the operation. Verification results, including lab test results, are available 60 days after verification is complete.

The answer depends on your values, motivations, current practices, and potential market opportunities. Some of our farmers have been working to improve their soil health for a while prior to getting certified, because they saw it as way to make their land more resilient, reduce their input costs, and presented a better quality of life that produces healthier crops and animals. They are now ready to independently validate their story, clarify the impact they are having, and differentiate their products in the marketplace. Others more recently started their journey, and see the benefit of entering a rigorous, data-driven program that guides them to achieve meaningful results as quickly as possible so they can realize the economic and ecological benefits on a shortened time scale. Does this sound like you?
You’ll understand how your management practices are influencing your soil health and ecosystem outcomes with a clear vision on how to improve your positive impact. You’ll build data that proves your regenerative claims are real and proudly certified by the industry’s most rigorous verification protocol. And you’ll gain entry to a community of farmers and ranchers like you, sharing knowledge, resources, and access to our growing network of supply chain partners and buyers.
